At the same time, the traffic police added that the registration of cars in the Kherson region is simplified, technical inspection is optional.
In turn, Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civilian administration of the region, told the agency that more accurate information about the codes of the region on license plates of cars can be determined after the region becomes part of the Russian Federation.
At the end of July, it became known that temporary departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia appeared in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. As stated in the press service of the ministry, their task is “the fight against extremism and the issuance of Russian passports.” Then it was said that the territorial bodies are only at the stage of formation.
Russia established control over the Kherson region in March. At that time, bodies of military-civilian administration were formed in the region. The pro-Russian authorities have repeatedly said plans to become part of Russia, but the exact dates have not been officially announced.
